Lords and Ladies
Back Blip
Another busy day today, but it was lovely to visit Lord and Lady Findhorn and enjoy good company, coffee and delicious home made gingerbread, of which mum-in-law and myself had two pieces. It was only the threat of a parking fine which made us leave and get on with the rest of the day! The conversation flowed easily and we find it hard to believe we've only met a few times in the flesh and, once again, are thankful for the chance to make these friendships through blip.
Other than that, we did a full photo shoot (before visiting Lord and lady F) of our little Edinburgh flat looking all spick and span and welcoming. This is in case we decide to go down the short term holiday route with it, like we do with our wee Rio studio and we'll need photos for the site listing. Then a frantic shopping run for a stock of towels and bedding to keep in the flat. Across to Fife to my brother's and it was nice that this time it was just to have coffee with him and his daughter (my niece), her partner and their wee boy Michael, now four years old, and to enjoy his flat looking so nice.
Hopefully, my brother will make it across to Barcelona before too long for a visit and will bring with him a top up of the Cheddar cheese and oatcakes, which he gave to us as were leaving!
Then the drive back to Largs, arriving at 10.30pm and a late night Indian dinner in the local restaurant.
At the end of our visits back, especially the ones where we're back to help with family things, we always say, 'Wouldn't it be nice to have a couple of extra days?', and this time was no exception, especially as on our last morning the sun was shining and Largs was looking at its best!
