Kayaking in December

It's always a good day when you can kayak, especially in December. Water temp was 40 Farenheit (4.5 C). I had to caution a family with a new kayak and no life jacket that such temperatures were life threatening if their young son flipped his new boat 100 yards off shore without a life jacket or wet suit....

I did kindly escort him to shore because he seemed to ignore his mother's pleadings to return to the dock.
