Marion

Juno walked early and then I dropped the ladies up town and headed to the allotment, the ground was frozen so tidied up and chatted. Another oldie giving up his plot and asked us to tidy it up for him, we looked at it and have a plan.

Home and over the to the hospital for a party for my grannie. She was 87 today. She has various health issues and dementia, today she was on good form. As many of the family as possible managed to make it over so we chatted and caught up.

My mother's mum died when she was 5, the 3 girls were put into seperate foster homes and were going to be sent to Australia as new maidens of the nation. My mother's dad fought to get them put in the Barnados children's home in Corstorphine.

My mum said many 'aunts' visited over the years and eventually her father remarried and the girls returned to a family home. My mum said she had her own bed at the home and now had to share with her sisters.

Marion had a son to complete the family. She has not been the same since my grandad died.
