Frosty Deeside

Another family dinner this afternoon  so this morning went for a walk along the Dee at Garthdee to burn off some calories,  whilst Kirsty sweated it out in the RGU Gym.
Its been very cold recently and now some ice on the river and a weird frosty landscape on the path covering shrubs, bushes and trees. Was out walking for 30 mins and didn't meet a soul. Very peaceful and wintry despite the snow. Saw a large heron which ( of course ) flew off as I approached it with the camera.
