Baptism

I know it's the font again ( I do so love it). My unit this week has been on baptism and Christian initiation. We had a fascinating discussion at tutorial today about what baptism was for. I'm still a little confused. It doesn't make someone a Christian and it doesn't ensure they go to heaven. Steve spoke of it as including children in the new covenant of God. Children were included in the old testament covenants of circumcision and passover so covenant theology includes them in the new covenant by baptism.
