The neighborly way

Last week an old friend spotted us buying a small bundle of wood at Riteaid, (appalled) She said "Why in the world are you buying this expensive wood!?" (confused) we said "We said we always buy this wood but it is expensive" (and we were running low on money). She told us not to worry, she could set us up with some decent wood for good price later in the week.

She wasn't kidding...
Her husband cut up all this wood and saved it for us. (it ended up being half a cord) We are supposed to get snow this week (which doesn't happen often) and they wanted to make sure our furkids and us stayed warm. Today I am grateful to have people like them who care about our simple comfort.
