Saltcellar

This saltcellar is a piece of traditional Swedish handicraft. It is made of birch-bark, a very versatile material. In old times this was used for many different purposes, like small containers, back packs, or roofing. This one is a modern tourist souvenir, probably from the province of Dalarna. We got it many years ago as a gift from a friend from that province.
