These Gazanias pretty well sum up the day for me.

I was up at 5.30am to light the fire for hot water. It was cool and gloomy and I thought I might as well stock up the freezer with bread rolls. My old Rayburn oven is no good for bread now because it dries the rolls out. This meant I had to have the electric oven going too. Then the sun came out and the outdoor temperature shot up. Open doors and windows, and the big fan on fast made it bearable. Just.

Well, the water’s hot for a few days, and I have plenty of bread rolls.
