Nettie

CCN's dad Doug has been in the limelight lately with his wonderful pumpkins and cabbages so I think it's about time I introduced Nettie, CCN's Mum.

Nettie turned 93 in September and is one of the most beautiful people I have ever met.  Between them Doug and Nettie have notched up 185 years and on the 1st of February they will have been married 69 years.

The three of had a lovely hour in the great little coffee shop CCN and I have discovered on the north side of the river.  We wanted Nettie to try "OODIES" as well and as you can see we had a fine time.

We both feel so blessed to have been lucky enough to have parents who lived a long life.  My wonderful Mum and Dad lived until they were 90 and 89 respectfully and were married for 66 years.  Dad passed away in 2011 and Mum in 2012, despite that I still have a little chat to Mum and Dad every day.
