Frozen dawn

An early start this morning. It was back to work for my daughter, and just before 7 am I drove her to the station, with an ice warning showing on the car dashboard and the temperature registering at a chilly -2 deg C. It took a fair bit of de-icer to clear the windscreen beforehand, brrr.

On the way back from the station I routed past the green where the ancient cock fighting pit is still recalled as an indentation in the ground. The grass was frosted a crisp white, and the light of the rising dawn behind the village church was beautiful. So after my dusk blip, here is a dawn one.

Delicious hot homemade turkey soup for lunch today. That's the last of it!
