can be a metaphor for many things. 
Today, we sat by it chatting....i'm learning what was said & what was left unsaid ... it's filling in many blanks. It's helping to make sense of whats going on around me.
But more often water is what we use to cool down - & today was no exception.....well, except it was raining rather than the pool.

The evening was spent at the thermomix batching up a few pastes for the locals
