Bald Eagle

Today was the second consecutive day that we have been out for a walk. Another quite short one, but very enjoyable after a long lay off. It is good to be out and about with a camera in hand again.

Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed many sightings of the common buzzard. What has been unusual is how low they are when flying or perched. Perhaps something to do with the lack of thermal currents in the cold air. I have also just read that they can survive by eating worms in the winter.
