Shoe Tree Satellite...

Jings, it was cold last night.  Away from the house for a couple of days, I turned the heating right down.  Only took 12 hours to heat the house back up again.  Was ruddy freezing.  Even extended myself to wooly socks in bed.

Completely different tonight.  Settling down with some camembert, christmas day's ham hock terrine leftovers, apple jelly and homemade oakcakes.  I think the oatcakes where a bit thick, but they taste right.  A bit of refinement needed methinks.

This is Rosyth's local shoe tree.  It's a tradition that was started in Edinburgh and I've seen this one and one in Dunfermline.
