Summertime?

As we switch from the land of cars to the land of boats, I wonder if this wonderful weather will last. It's too early for this. We didn't have to make a fire to warm up the cabin when we got here today. :-) This is the marina on Galiano Island where we keep a small boat to get to our island. The marina's for sale - anyone out there want to run a marina? with a gas dock, gift shop and little cafe? This wide angle lens makes it a little distorted...... but how about this nice quiet water? H is out there to the left on the 3rd pier but too small to really see.

I was looking forward to some relaxing time -- it's food for the soul just to be here - it's so quiet- but there are lists of chores this time of year. Today I just put stuff away, filled all the bird feeders, walked around the property (put trail maintenance on the to-do list! ) and did miscellaneous chores. Tomorrow 3 still able-bodied friends (2 are rowers) are coming to play and to help get our rowing float off the beach and connected to our dock. Then it will look like summer anyway!
