Horizontal . . . is relative . . .

This new crane has been installed in our low-rise residential area and just completely dominates the view.  A new condo is on its fourth try for construction.  It had to happen sometime.  But they have been able to preserve an adjoining parcel as historically significant with a heiau (hula platform).
Waiting at the stoplight across from the site behind a Matson container truck, it struck me how the lines diverged, all above me, and how the skyline would be changed . . .  soon.
