Great Westernern

A Great Western 125 thunders out of Bristol Temple Meads for London Paddington while our double-glazed (hence the Great Westernern) Cross Country Voyager turns left for Birmingham as I head home to Milton Keynes after an enjoyable day of work in Bristol. I made the officially four (in practice two) minute connection at Birmingham New Street - happiness is seeing your connecting train just across the platform as you arrive. Spent Tuesday night at the delightful Berkeley Square Hotel in Bristol - no nightingales, but great service, amazing food and art everywhere.
