Bear Run, Late December

The milder weather was getting ready to give way to colder days ahead, so my husband and I seized the opportunity to make a day trip to Bear Run, not far from Lamar, to go hiking.

We found the weather temperate, the woods peaceful and quiet, the skies clear to partly cloudy, and the woods, pathway, and stream bed green, green, green!

The soundtrack has to be a song with the word green in it, and here is a favorite: Gordon Lightfoot, with Bitter Green.
