Blue People Carrier

This is really intended as a photograph pf Robert Gordon College, unfortunately there is an inconsiderately parked people carrier in the way. The building was designed by Robert Adam and completed in 1732. In 1746 it was occupied by the Government army. In 1750 it opened as a school for boys whose parents were poor and destitute. If the parents of the pupils (now including girls) are poor and destitute today, it is no doubt as a result of the fees to attend what is one of the strongest academic schools in Scotland. There are a number of quite famous former pupils including Michael Gove (politician) and Sandi Thom (singer - I have at least one of her CDs).

Shortly before venturing out on my photographic safari I had stopped off in John Lewis for what might have been my last fruit tart of the year, had I not been tempted by their chocolate cake. The cafe was very busy as was the shop. It seems like shoppers are still out in force in the city centre.

A change in the weather today, quite a bit warmer, but overcast.
