Secrets Will Be Revealed

Today has been probably the most fantastic day of the year so far. If not for us (which it was) but most definitely for my daughter Asha.

Today, we drove to Watford to visit Warner Bros. Studio and went on The Making Of Harry Potter Tour. Words cannot even begin to express how amazed, excited, overjoyed and a little over-whelmed Asha was when we arrived. This girl has grown up with Harry Potter, loves Harry Potter, knows the books inside and out, watches the films over & over and even has the Deathly Hallows symbol tattoo-ed on the inside of her wrist. Harry Potter has seen her through fun sleepovers and long nights & days in hospital. She is still patiently waiting for her letter from Hogwarts to arrive. Harry Potter is to her, a best and dear loved friend I guess you could say.

Anyway, the tour itself is absolutely amazing! We saw the original props, original sets, had Undesirable posters made, had photo's taken on a flying broomstick, saw Aragog, the chess pieces, the Knight bus, sat on Hagrid's motorbike and side car amongst many other things. The last stop but one on the tour is Hogwarts itself. The original model, made in such intricate detail that it doesn't surprise you to find out that it took a team of 7 men SIX years to build! It was brilliant! We were there for a little over four hours and it was well worth every penny. The gift shop was, as expected, expensive but we all treated ourselves to something and Asha bought herself a wand :) Naturally, this know takes pride of place in her room.

Here's the website if you want to check it out.

No need to guess what my blip is of :)
