Social evening
I had a day off, so after a nice lie in, we went to see my Dad. Dad is getting a bit forgetful, and often doesn't know what day it is - after all, why would you if you don't have to go to work? We bought him a new clock - that tells not only the time, but also the day and the date - and we put that up for him.
On the way home, we were discussing the evening meal, and thinking we would have a leisurely evening together, only to find a message on the answer machine reminding me about the get together for Tarek (who has just left us to work elsewhere). I really didn't feel much like going out, but I'm glad I did.
We had a lovely Indian meal at The Merchants of Spice in Norwich. We learnt all about Frank's builder and his (the builder's, that is) wife - work colleagues will have to ask, I can't print it in Blip! All in all, well worth the effort of turning out on a very cold evening.
Work is hard and stressful at the moment - we really should be making an effort to get together socially more often.
