Cormorant on a lamp post

It frequently pays to take a camera everywhere you go if you can, even when doing some shopping. If I hadn't done that today, then I wouldn't have been able to photograph this Cormorant sitting on a lamp post on my way to the supermarket.

Most of today was spent on making certain that I have everything I need for Thursday's meal with my brother so I can avoid shops and supermarkets altogether tomorrow.
