The Bomb Shelter

Here is the WWII bomb shelter that is in our garden. Many of these in our road have been demolished, but as the family that lived here before us had lived here since the day it was built, the bomb shelter survived. The wall just seen to the right is a flash wall that protected the entrance of the shelter from any blast.

Now, this little building, (which we have grown to love) stores the fuel for our wood burner and is adorned with honeysuckle, clematis and roses.
