Not my intention.....
....to be back at this rock formation again this morning for sunrise!
Summer sunrises are a bit tougher to tackle- early rising and all.
I was hoping for a gloriously colourful dawn on the lovely ocean baths rocks. Instead, high tide meant that those rocks were submerged.....plan B!
A thick cloud cover meant that the sunrise was a gentle and elegant affair rather than the desired razzle dazzle.
Last time I played with this formation in a vertical format I managed to include the rather unattractive tripod leg in most of my shots.......so a chance to remedy that today.
I love the colours , textures and patterns in the sandstone and the jagged edge along this sweeping "S".
In the end, I have decided that I like the rock being allowed to "shine" here rather than it being overshadowed by a stunningly colourful sunrise....we don't always get what we want.....but more often than not.....we get what we need!
