Ice encrusted branches

Another freezing day! It was 9 degrees (F) when I got up this morning, & the thermometer seems stuck right there! After work, Tom & I went to Grant Park Beach, where I was determined to get to the area I saw the other day---the area where the waves, as they crash up onto the shrubs,  totally cover the branches in ice!  Not an easy area to get to, as the sand & rocks that are behind the branches are  ALSO covered with ice  & I sure didn't want to slip & fall, especially after Tom told me that if I broke something or slipped into the water I was on my own!  Ha! The lake was really choppy with lots of big waves, so It was really pretty, as long as you stood back far enough not to get hit with the frigid water!
