A Sunday Visitor in White!
Our glass-panelled sun-porch faces the back lawn. Throughout the winter we feed and watch the birds - mostly Starlings, Blackbirds, Sparrows and the rarer Robin - with an odd plunder of crumbs from a marauding Crow or Gull. Our Sunday visitor was surprisingly different in plumage, if not in form! In Gaelic, a Starling is referred to as a Druid Dhubh (Black Starling) not this one - our Sunday visitor was more of a Druid Gheal! You've guessed it - Geal = White. Haste ye back!
