Convento do Carmo

My favourite building in Lisbon was the ruined remains of the gothic Convento do Carmo with its wishbone shaped structures soaring up into the sky - it collapsed in the 1755 earthquake along with much of the rest of Lisbon. You can see it here There was an excellent archaeological museum - I couldn't resist blipping some of the statuary with the new construction going on behind.
