Dear Moon
Dear Moon, how I love you, but how an annoying subject you are to photograph. It seems only getting a picture in the middle of the day will show the moon's details at all and a fancy camera is needed to do it any justice. Oh well :P
Actually a kind of good day today. Had some really conversations at interval with G, who is American and says words funny ;D and then at lunch D had an actually really nice conversation with me, which cheered me up possibly more than she gathered :) Feeling better today than I have in a while.
That and I got to play with chemicals in chemistry. It's worth it just for that :D Although the iodine has somehow left nasty yellow splotches on my book. I made sure to use its magical ability to colour the surface it's on for a good purpose: drawing on a desk :P (I think it will come off :P).
It's Norwegian Independence Day today. I feel pretty proud to be Norwegian :D It celebrates independence from Sweden, who I think Denmark gave us as a gift to at one point. (Casually just give a country away :| ). We went to my grandma's house for afternoon tea, which was wonderful. Every time I go over there for something like this, I get a fresh reminder of just how patriotic she is. She had a big Norwegian flag out the front of her house, she was wearing a ribbon in the colours of the Norwegian flag and was wearing a brooch with the flag on it. She had a row of flags hanging on a string in her dining room, and the kransekake (one of these things) had little Norwegian flags stuck into it. Oh, and the disposable napkins had flags on them. It kind of freaks me out, but she had food which makes up for it :D (especially the ginger bread man :P).
