The cold temps are back!
I spotted a woodpecker outside that I was interest in getting a shot of this morning.  Then, as I stepped onto the deck, the frozen boards creaked SO loud... All the birds flew away.  I didn't have long, nor had I dressed with enough layers to last more than a few minutes in the frigid air.  So I stayed still as long as I could and snapped the first birds that came back to the area.  The brave and friendly chickadee gave me a shot (and gave me an excuse to run back inside where it was warm)!
