You Have Reached Your Destination

We are back in Wales.

We decided to leave at 6pm as it worked going up. We were a little concerned when we left as there were icy weather warnings, but we figured the roads would be better in the evening whilst they were being treated than in the morning when they had frozen.

We almost turned back about half an hour into the journey, there was a lot of snow around after just 30 miles from leaving Boston, and the thermometer in the car was reading just one degree.

That turned out to be the worse part of the trip, after we cleared the Belvoir Valley we never saw any more snow and the temperature rose to a tropical four degrees. We were home in four and a quarter hours, with no problems at all.

I had a swift nightcap and now its to bed .. off to mum and dads tomorrow to do it all again!
