Bah Humbug ... auto focus

Oh well - at least I now know why I have had a few problems with out of focus shots recently.  The auto focus on my old Canon 18-55 kit lens is having problems starting when the lens is fully retracted.

This is one of several old tree stumps on the strand line at Sand Bay,  they all look about the same age and to have been put there deliberately, not that we could see why, they look too far back and too spead out to be of any real use as defence against high tides and they don't look like the other local trees.
