The Frozen River

We are in the middle of a deep freeze here.
Yesterday we bundled up Trixie, the dog,
and took a short walk on the river trail.
The river had refrozen and was "talking'"
with loud noises as it cracked here and
there.   Booming I would call it.....
Today we will not go out as there is
a dangerous wind chill out with stronger
winds.
