Corfe Castle village centre....
.... as seen from a distance of about half a mile, from the top of the Purbeck Ridge.
The St George's flag flying atop the church tower had prompted the photo, the bright trees and rear landscape providing a counterpoint to the more muted colours of the village centre.
Until 1832 this was a "rotten borough", sending two Members to the House of Commons.
