Serious football

This morning we all went off to a stadium to support my middle grandson in his football under-sevens tournament. It was freezing cold outside but the young players were on fire with enthusiasm. Later that evening I set off back to Lancashire hoping for a better journey.  It was, until I missed my final connection - again by five minutes - and despite running - again!  By this time it was very late in the evening and I found myself on an outside platform for the hour long wait. I did manage to find a slightly warmer waiting room but then discovered that my two companions were two little field mice - or station mice - also sheltering from the cold!! All very entertaining!
