Final day of the year - where has this year gone?

Up early (for the holidays that is!) to go and see Paddington at the Everyman in Islington. A great film and a great wee cinema - lovely big seats with plenty of legroom, drinks in the cinema and easier to get to than the local multibleurgh. A definite for future viewings I think.

After the cinema a quick trip to Carluccio's for lunch and +2/3 and +3/3 actually posed nicely for a picture - finally! That's a turtle's leg up against +3/3's head... Walk to the station and back for late afternoon.

It's been quite a year what with changing jobs, moving the family and finding schools not to mention selling the house and the referendum. Let's hope that next year is a little more settled!

+1/2 and I are sticking to our tradition of watching a favourite film and drinking champagne with a brief interlude for the bells on Jools Holland's Hootenanny. Sadly (!) no Aly Bain or Jackie Bird for us this year.

Music for today: mainly jazz again with some Oscar Peterson. Nice. Or if you prefer something more melancholic: the Brothers of End.

While I remember: something odd is going on with blip at the moment: I don't seem to be getting notifications for significant postings or for favourites. Hopefully one for the new year - at least they've fixed keyboard navigation now!
