Near Blyth End

The River Cole, near Blyth End. About 20 yards from where it joins hands with the River Blythe.

In fact 4 rivers crunch here in an industrial space of about one quarter square mile.  A hundred yards down stream of the confluence of the Blythe and Cole, the Blythe swallows the Bourne, and then a few hundred yards after that, the Blythe yields to the Tame.

The Tame gobbles the Trent about 5 miles north of Lichfield, and from there it's all shipped off to meet the Ouse and to create the Humber Estuary.
