Happy New Year from NZ

What a brilliant afternoon it has been for the first day of the new year. We had rain overnight and a windy morning but by afternoon the wind had gone and we had the most stunning afternoon.
Took the family out in the boat and we went to beautiful Humphrey's Bay which is surrounded by flowering pohutakawa trees. We all went swimming off the boat, and the favourite for the young ones is to climb onto the roof and jump off, they can't get enough of it. This is 9 year old Aidan enjoying the day.
Have to say I have never jumped off the roof, and don't think I ever will...I lowered myself down the ladder into the water!
