City centre statue

Learnt another lesson today - always have a camera with you! Nipped into Leeds for a few things and came across this statue in the pedestrian precinct. I had briefly seen it on Look North and can't remember what it is supposed to represent. It does catch the eye. I quickly borrowed my wife's i-phone to take a snap. I hope that's in order!
