Happy New Year

The hoped for firework extravaganza arrived at precisely one fuse length of time after the first strike of midnight. Since there are few (if any) organised displays, the majority of fireworks are privately let off, pretty much anywhere. This means the horizon is lit end to end with starbursts and bangs. I wanted to do a pano shot of that (hence yesterdays blip) but realised that would never work, so I just went with a single 50mm shot over the prison (compare yesterday).

No hangover, so the new year is off to a better than expected start already.
