New beginnings

I definitely overdid it over the past few days and today it's caught up with me. The start of a new year always means taking stock both in a personal and literal sense. Today's lunch was chicken noodle soup.

I wish I could tell  you that the sky in my picture was really that colour but I'm afraid I gave it a bit of help (and a hint of optimism).
