Le Napoléon

We did what probably many people did on such a sunny 1st January  in Paris. Having a long walk, passing Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame and then Place Dauphine on Île de la Cité (see picture). Although it is in the middle middle of Paris, it is a bit hidden and a very relaxing spot.

More tricky was then to find a place to have something to drink and a small bite. Many places are closed today, others only serve proper lunch. We finally landed in the recently opened Café Pouchkine on Boulevard Saint-Germain and had a very pleasant experience. Very friendly staff and a difficult choice between mouthwatering patisserie. We finally ordered two Napoléons.
