First Foot

Unusually we saw in the New Year in our own house with friends after a most enjoyable dinner.

Then around 1.00 am we all went to first foot my neighbours the McNaughtons which we have done every year for more than two decades.

Their family gathering was bigger than ever with lots of people from the immediate surrounding area there too and it was held not in Ardachuple Farm, as it was for years, but in the house that John rents out as a holiday let on the lower shore road called "The Dutchman's" because there was a boat occupied by a Dutchman at this spot for years.

I nipped outside to take this around 1.30.
