Porty People and Nearby Places
35 hardy souls took to the sea at noon at Fisherrow!.
Five times that number, wrapped up against the keen wind, looked on, in disbelief.
The fast food outlet, on wheels, encouragingly branded Sizzlers, was, not surprisingly doing a roaring trade.
Some of the local Pipe and Drum Band piped the Loonie Dookers along the harbour front.
We walked there and back - a total of 10,258 steps!
Last night/early this morning, 75000 crammed into Princes Street and Gardens to watch the Hogmanay fireworks. I watched them from our upstairs window. They were amazing. My two year old grandson watched them on playback TV this morning, south of the border, and thought they were my very own personal display!
