New Year's Day
Until we changed to the Gregorian Calendar in 1752, New Year's Day was always on 25th March.
How sensible to start the New Year in March, rather than January!
New Year! New beginnings! Lambs being born! Flowers and plants bursting into life! Longer days! Better, warmer weather!
Whereas today it's been pouring with rain all day, and it got dark mid afternoon...
In the blip you can see Chloe just back from another wet walk...
Luckily, the forecast is quite good for our Buttermere Blipmeet tomorrow!
