A Happy New Year to all

The three 'lads' decided to take a picnic and head towards Gribun Rock looking for a beach to kite board or surf. We live in sheltered spot but once they travelled over the hill road (4-5 miles) the weather was wild and wet with big waves, not suitable for what they had in mind. A change of plan and a continued gusty drive to look at the view along to Ulva Ferry and home around via Salen. They arrived home in day light and we - me and two of the 'lads' - walked across to the loch to see if they could launch the kite surf from here at some stage; its a possibility.

When over there the view was grey but not for the pair of sea eagles who gave us a great display of moving on the wind. By now it was raining again and a quick turn around for home
