New Years Day plant hunt
I managed a short visit to the nature reserve this afternoon, in a cold wind and fading light, to look for plants in flower for the annual survey run by the Botanical Society of the British Isles. The most obvious flowering plant was this gorse bush overlooking the misty reserve. I managed to find 15 species in flower in just the northern part of the reserve and was quite pleased, but I'm sure there will be reports of many more from some areas.
