Happy New Year everyone.!
 
This is my regular New Year's Blip but this year was the wettest to date by far.    Just as well the place was  almost deserted as I stood there in the wind and rain trying to keep the camera and lens dry with an umbrella.
 
The building at the extreme right of the picture was once a bank and also Borders Bookshop before it sadly went out of business.  More recently it has been occupied by Italian Restaurant Zizzi.  When they opened their phone number was only one digit away from that of the Western Infirmary.  One person phoned up about being booked in,  and when the waiter asked if it was a Table for Two,  he muttered that he didn't realise things were so bad that he would have to share an operating table to get his haemorrhoids seen to!
