Garden visitor

Son and husband had to go to work today so I was awake and about early but didn't get going for a while. I took lots of photos of the heavy frost but thought that this beautiful garden visitor should be my blip for the day. The photo was taken at full zoom through the kitchen window so it is not great but watching the woodpecker for a few minutes as it attacked the suet feeder was lovely. 

Son number one headed off to London as soon as he got back from work and son number two joined up with some local friends. We ordered a takeaway curry, opened a bottle of wine and watched 'The Help'. We were in bed before midnight - quite nice not to have to stay up and offer a taxi service as in some years. 

Will be interesting to see what 2015 brings.
