New Year's Day 2015

After a wet, 50 minute walk to prepare ourselves for the feast to come, we set off to spend the afternoon at my MIL's.
MIL will be 89 in two weeks time, but with help from my brother-in-law, she still produces the most wonderful Italian feasts. After we had all eaten far more than was sensible, she got the photo albums out.
She had her first two children very shortly after she married, with 18 months between the two. My husband was a happy accident when she was almost 40.  The family albums are packed with photos of the older two children, but there are very few photos of my husband as a child.
This was taken when his older sister made her First Communion. It's the only photo they seem to have of him at a very young age. 
I think it's pretty cute!!!
