The stroke of Midnight

This shot taken seconds after midnight. It shows us saying Happy New Year to each other in a friends house at the other side of the village.

By tradition this should be the first drink of the night but very few people stick to this now a days.

I do feel a little sorry that the traditions I was brought up with are no longer seen but I think it is a sign of changing communities.

Lovely lazy day today spent in the company of Snapper and Chubby hubby with a meal cooked by OH which I very much enjoyed. Feeling lovely and mellow now.

Happy New Year I hope the year continues the way it has been so far. (Possibly without the alcoholic haze but I'm not sure)
