Heart:land

Happy New year to me! And to youse! So, it was up before midday and there were no ill effects. True! After setting about the dishes and hoovering the remaining stinky Brie, it was off oot down to Scot:lands. What a wonderful event. Over to see a film and live music by Joe McAlinden at Tide:land and then on to Heart:land (above) - what great stuff (though it seemed you had to have a beard to get on the stage) - a changing lineup, with artists choosing to cover a song which meant something to them. Some of the Admiral Fallow peeps, Roody Hart, Hazey Janes... and here oor local favourite The Withered Hand is banging out Black Tambourine. Fantastic. So, on the Hub to see some brilliantly uncompromising (ie naebody liked it though I did) kraut rock and finally to Greyfriars for lovely guitary trad stuff with a bit of electronics.
Home? Absolutely nutt. AJ's New Year's Day bash. Japanese whisky (distressingly good), Old Pulteney, Springbank! It's amazing my thinking is still so lucid. Where was I? Ah, yes.. 2015! Did I wish you all a happy new year?
